Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. In that role, she covers all aspects of space, from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise in space travel. Kristin has a background in the space sector as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. For the last five years, she has covered space policies under Trump and Biden Administrations in FOX News. Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and efforts by two administrations to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip.
